The story behind the textile.

Brocade describes a family of patterned woven textiles, often using supplementary threads to build a raised or light-catching motif into the cloth. It is not the name of one fibre or a single place of origin.

India’s Banarasi weaving tradition is one renowned example, but brocade techniques appear in many textile cultures. For MOKSHA, the appeal is the dimension and richness of the woven surface.
